Background

Friederike Bruehoefener serves as the Assistant Vice Provost for the Center for Faculty Excellence and Teaching Innovation. Working closely with the CFETI team, she oversees the Center’s programming aimed at supporting faculty—including department chairs and directors—at any career stage.

While, by training, a historian of Modern Germany—holding a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill—with a special focus on women’s, gender, and new military history, Dr. Bruehoefener has significant experience working with faculty across disciplines, departments, and colleges. She is enthusiastic about supporting faculty as they pursue creative, scientific, and scholarly projects and seeks to integrate their research into their teaching and service.
