The New Lecturer Orientation will take place on 18 August 2026. To register for the orientation, please complete this registration form. Registered faculty will receive a calendar invitation. 

The Lecturer Teaching Toolkit is a Canvas-based resource hub designed to support faculty in creating engaging, effective, and inclusive learning experiences. Explore practical teaching materials, evidence-based best practices, and curated resources on topics such as inclusive pedagogy, assessment strategies, effective communication, grading and feedback, course design, and more. Whether you're developing a new course or enhancing an existing one, the Teaching Toolkit provides just-in-time guidance and resources to support your teaching.

The Fall 2026 Lecturer Retreat will take place on September 18, 2026.

These gatherings are a space to informally connect and chat about lecturer experiences. The dates for the spring 2026 semester meetings are:

• Thursday, September 10, 2026, 12:00-1:15pm
• Wednesday, October 7, 2026, 12:00 – 1:15pm
• Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 12:00 – 1:15pm

These webinars are an opportunity to explore assets-based pedagogies that can help SJSU to close equity gaps. The dates for the spring 2026 semester are:

• Monday, September 28, 2026, 3:00 - 4:00pm
• Tuesday, October 20, 2026, 10:30 – 11:45am
• Tuesday, November 10, 2026, 1:30 – 2:45pm

Celebrate the end of the semester in community with lecturer colleagues from across campus! This gathering is an opportunity to enjoy afternoon tea and cookies and take a breath before we head into finals and grading!

In the fall 2026, the gathering will occur on Wednesday, December 2, 2026, 2:30 – 4:00pm.
