DocuSign

What You Need to Know

DocuSign is an application that allows users to securely upload, sign, and send documents that require a signature.

This is electronic signature technology and a digital transaction management service that facilitates the electronic exchanges of contracts and signed documents.

Paper documentation is no longer necessary.

Who has Access

  • Student – All ‘ACTIVE’ students have access to sign envelopes, create/send envelopes, or use shared templates.
  • Faculty/Staff – All faculty/staff members have access to sign envelopes, create/send envelopes, or use shared templates. Faculty and staff may also submit a help ticket request for additional access to create templates and/or perform Bulk Send.

Cost & Requirements

  • Docusign is free for Students, Faculty, and Staff.
  • You must have a valid SJSUOne ID#.
  • The service is for business-related purposes only.

How to Access DocuSign and Create an Account

You DO NOT need to have a DocuSign account to sign envelopes, but you must have an account in order to create/send envelopes or to use shared templates.

To access DocuSign, login to DocuSign or go to One.SJSU and search for the DocuSign tile to log in. After you log in for the first time, your DocuSign account will be created automatically and an email will be sent to you to activate the account.
