Canvas Student Resources

San Jose State University uses a learning management system (LMS) called Canvas by Instructure. Canvas has a clean, intuitive user interface, featuring drag and drop usability; and a comprehensive grading tool. Canvas also allows faculty and students to configure their notification options to integrate with services such as Facebook, X, text messaging and more.

Getting Started with Canvas for Students

1. Log in to Canvas. You can also access Canvas from one.sjsu.edu. Canvas works best on the Chrome browser. It is often useful to clear your browser's cache if you are experiencing any issues.
