Background

Trevor Merrill is a Video Producer for SJSU Online, where he crafts instructional video content with the goal of better connecting students to their instructors in the online environment. 

Trevor has over a decade of experience working with a wide range of mediums—producing everything from music videos to documentaries—and different stakeholders, including local businesses, non-profits, and governmental entities.

While he’s done a little bit of everything, storytelling has always been the thread that ties his work and interests together. Holding a B.A. in Film Studies, Trevor possesses extensive creative, writing, directing, editing, and producing skills. He believes the best stories come from collaboration and putting people first ahead of the product, and he invests himself fully into every project.

Even outside of work, Trevor is constantly creating stories for personal projects, driven by the same passion that fuels his professional work. For him, storytelling isn’t just a job, it’s a lifelong habit he never plans to break.
