Background
Dr. Yingjie Liu is the Director of Digital Learning Strategies, leading institution-wide
                  efforts to enhance academic excellence and teaching creativity through the strategic
                  integration of emerging technologies. She guides the use of generative AI, machine
                  learning, and extended reality (XR) to support high-quality instruction across all
                  modalities. Her work contributes to shaping the university’s digital learning strategies,
                  instructional innovation, and technology-enhanced teaching practices advancing the
                  future of digital pedagogy and operational innovation at SJSU.
Dr. Liu serves as a principal investigator and co-principal investigator on externally
                  funded projects, including National Science Foundation–supported research, that focus
                  on AI literacy, XR, responsible technology integration, and scalable instructional
                  innovation in higher education. Her work brings together collaboration across disciplines,
                  research-based design, and strategic planning to support meaningful, lasting change
                  in digital learning.
She holds a Ph.D. in Cognition, Instruction, and Learning Technology from the University
                  of Connecticut, with over a decade of experience advancing pedagogical innovation
                  through research, technology, and faculty engagement.
