Academic Scheduling and Space Management (AS&SM) collaborates with the Academic Scheduling
User Group and an Advisory Work Group to enhance the effectiveness of business practices.
Class schedule and classroom assignment decisions are supported by various data reports
and dashboards to ensure student success, compliance, and institutional effectiveness.
The class schedule is published three to four months prior to first date of Instruction.
The production and maintenance of the class schedule is a critical component of academic
planning.
Classrooms are defined as University Lecture Rooms (ULRs) or College Managed Lecture
Rooms (CLECs). All teaching laboratories (TLABs) are managed by academic colleges
or departments.
The Academic Affairs Division (AAD) and its subunits manage classrooms and various
offices as well as meeting spaces. Classrooms and meeting spaces may be reserved for
events based on the nature of the event and availability.
