Transportation Solutions helps San José State students and employees find sustainable ways to get to campus and travel throughout the Bay Area. Whether you ride transit, bike, carpool, or use a combination of options, TS can help you find the commute resources that apply to you.

Students: Clipper BayPass

Eligible SJSU students can use Clipper BayPass for unlimited rides on Bay Area transit agencies that accept Clipper, including VTA, BART, Caltrain, Muni, AC Transit, SamTrans, and participating ferry and bus services.

Learn about BayPass

BayPass does not cover every regional service. If you ride ACE, Capitol Corridor, Highway 17 Express, Amtrak, or another service not covered by BayPass, check Other Transit Discounts for available programs.

Employees and Open University: SmartPass

SmartPass is available for eligible SJSU employees and Open University participants. SmartPass provides unlimited rides on VTA buses and light rail with a Clipper card.
