Consistently ranked among nationally renowned programs, the Davidson College of Engineering is the leading provider of engineering talent to Silicon Valley. The College of Health and Human Sciences is home to applied and professional disciplines serving dynamic societal needs and dedicated to promoting a healthy, ethical and enlightened global community through innovative application of knowledge and scholarship. With four schools and seven departments, CHaHS is home to SJSU's nursing, military science and human rights programs.

College of Humanities and the Arts

An active contributor to the Silicon Valley arts community, the College of Humanities and the Arts provides a high-quality liberal arts education focused on creativity, innovation and problem solving. The college prepares students to be compassionate, informed citizens of the world. The college manages the university-partnership with the Hammer Theatre Center in downtown San Jose. Notable alumni include author Amy Tan and playwright and activist Luis Valdez.

College of Science

Scientists are explorers and adventurers. The College of Science prepares students for teaching, research or technical careers in biological sciences, chemistry, computer science, geology, mathematics, meteorology and climate science, and physics and astronomy. Also part of the college is Moss Landing Marine Laboratories, a world-class marine sciences teaching and research center located an hour from campus in Monterey Bay. SJSU administers MLML, a consortium of seven campuses.
