Healthcare Engineering

Program Overview

ENGINEER SMARTER HEALTHCARE FOR EVERYONE. Demand for care is growing while the healthcare workforce is short, and robots, sensors, and AI can help close the gap. This 30-unit Master of Science in Engineering, Healthcare Engineering teaches you to design and build those systems, from sensing and machine learning to robot control and FDA-aware systems design. Aging is where the need is most visible, with 1 in 4 Americans projected to be 65 or older by 2035, but the same technologies can serve people of any age. This program brings engineering and humanity together to create technologies that are useful, reliable, equitable, and centered on the people they serve.
