Housing Assistance
As a student, you may find yourself without stable, regular, or adequate housing—even if you never expected to be in that situation. You might be experiencing housing insecurity or homelessness if you are:
- Staying in a shelter, motel, car, or public place
- Couch-surfing because you have no permanent housing
- Facing eviction, displacement from a fire, or another crisis
- Leaving an unsafe or abusive home—even if the people there could offer you a place to stay

Temporary Emergency Housing -If you are a currently enrolled student and do not have a safe place to sleep tonight, you may qualify for temporary on-campus housing.
- Available for up to 28 nights
- Designed for students with immediate need
- Includes short-term stay and planning support for next steps
Rapid Rehousing Program -The Rapid Rehousing Program supports eligible students who are unhoused or at immediate risk of losing housing.
- Partnership with the Bill Wilson Center
- Provides case management and tiered rental support
- May include multiple months of housing assistance

- Tools for finding listings, comparing options, and budgeting
- Guidance for understanding leases and rental rights

Community Referrals - Sometimes, community-based organizations are the best fit for your situation—especially if you:
- Are no longer enrolled
- Live outside the San José area
