About Case Management
SJSU Cares Case Managers provide support to students who are experiencing challenges that may impact their academic success or personal well-being. Case Management and well-being Coaching is a collaborative, student-centered process where we work with you to:
- Identify well-being goals across multiple areas of life
- Develop a plan with specific steps to help you meet those goals
- Connect to campus and community resources
- Follow up to check in on your progress
Common Areas We Can Help With
You don’t have to figure it all out on your own. We support students navigating:
- Food and/or housing insecurity
- Financial challenges
- Health or well-being needs
- Connecting with support services at SJSU
- Connecting with support services in your community
What to Expect
When you meet with a Case Manager, you’ll have a space to:
- Talk through your current concerns
- Set goals related to your personal well-being
- Receive resource referrals that align with your needs
- Create a plan tailored to your values and circumstances
- Get follow-up support to stay on track
