Clinical Laboratory Scientist Training Program

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist Training Program at San Jose State University is a 12 month training program that prepares students to take the ASCP national board exam in order to qualify for Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) licensure with the State of California. The training program is a 40 hour per week commitment with an emphasis on hands-on learning in one of our participating hospital laboratories. Most weeks, students will spend 32 hours training at a clinical site and 8 hours in lecture.
