Call for Honorary Degree Recommendations
Nov. 16, 2025
The Board of Trustees of the California State University has launched its annual call for recommendations for the awarding of honorary degrees. As a campus, we are permitted to submit up to two recommendations, which are due to the Chancellor’s Office by Dec. 5. Recommendations are due by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, November 16.

This Native American and Indigenous Studies professor co-wrote, “Survivance of Native American and Indigenous Students at a Four-Year Hispanic-Serving Institution,” published in the International Journal of Qualitative Studies in Education.

Staff Spotlight: Nick Szydlowski
The article introduces the King Library Digital Humanities Center’s digital exhibit tool and explores some of the inspirations for this approach, including computing and concepts from Agnès Varda’s film “The Gleaners and I”.

SJSU Students Pay Homage to Farmworkers with Redwood City Art Installation
“Food for Thought” created by three art students at SJSU is a three-dimensional storytelling and tribute to the essential people who support our food supply: farmworkers. Explore in-person at Redwood City’s Art Kiosk.
