Fall 2018
The CoSS Dean’s Symposium for Fall 2018 was held on Wednesday, November 07, 2018. Four CoSS faculty—Professors Mary Currin-Percival, Gordon Douglas, Justin Rietz, and Wendy Rouse—presented their research.
Presentations in this symposium represent the wide range of inquiries that social scientists pursue: the origins of the women's self-defense movement; how people take urban planning into their own hands when local governments neglect public services or community priorities; factors impacting acceptance of a secondary currency when a primary currency already circulates; and whether completion of and performance in a research methods course improves student performance overall.
