Student Ombudperson
The Student Ombudsperson provides impartial, confidential, and informal support to address university‑related concerns, ranging from grading disputes to navigating campus procedures. Acting as a neutral advocate for procedural fairness, the Ombudsperson guides students toward appropriate pathways without initiating formal investigations.
Bias Incident Resource Team (BIRT)
The Bias Incident Resource Team (BIRT) offers a supportive avenue to report non‑policy‑violating, but harmful—incidents of bias or discrimination. BIRT collects reports, reaches out to affected individuals, and offers voluntary education, restorative outreach, or training—but does not punish. This helps foster a respectful and inclusive campus environment.

The Office of Title IX and Equal Opportunity streamlines reporting of protected‑status discrimination and harassment, including sexual harassment, misconduct, domestic violence, stalking, and retaliation into one place.
