Program Mission
The graduates from this degree program will be proficient in applying leadership, management, and decision making skills in a regulated environment; understanding and conversing with others in a multidisciplinary field; understanding ethical, business, financial, global, and strategic implications in medical product development; and enriching the community with ethical and socially responsible graduates in a field in which the highest levels of integrity are a fundamental necessity.
List of Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) for the M.S. MPDM Program
Students in the MPDM Graduate program will be able to:
- Conduct an independent research project and communicate the results in written and oral form in acceptable professional formats. (Effective oral and written communication, information literacy)
- Adhere to and practice standards for ethical and responsible conduct of clinical research based on institutional mandates, regulations, guidelines and law. (Social responsibility and ethical conduct)
- Identify principles of research design and analyze results of clinical and scientific research studies (Analytic and critical thinking)
- Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and decision making skills. Integration of cumulative skills and interdisciplinary knowledge demonstrated in a capstone project (Process planning and problem solving)
