ADVANCED TOPICS COURSES: History majors need to take at least two Advanced Topics courses. These courses are open to all history majors, minors, graduate students, and interested upper-division students from other majors. Topics change each semester. Advanced Topics courses are equivalent to other 4-unit upper-division History courses in workload and difficulty. "Advanced" does NOT mean "tougher."
PRE-1750 COURSES: History majors need to take at least two upper division courses that focus on the period before 1750. These courses are open to all history majors, minors, graduate students, and interested upper-division students from other majors.
