Origination Fees

Origination fees are subtracted from the amount borrowed.

For loans disbursed on or after October 1, 2020, and before October 1, 2024:

  • Subsidized/Unsubsidized fee is 1.057%
  • Direct PLUS (parent/graduate/professional) fee is 4.228%

For loans disbursed on or after October 1, 2019, and before October 1, 2020:

  • Subsidized/Unsubsidized fee is 1.059%
  • Direct PLUS (parent/graduate/professional) fee is 4.236%
