SJSU ERFA Biography Project

The ERFA ScholarWorks Biography project, in partnership with the University Library, ensures that faculty achievements and contributions to the University and community are recognized, remembered, and readily accessible.

The first biography project, completed in 1997, resulted in a book that is available in the SJSU Library. The title of the book is "Biographies of Retired Faculty San Jose State University 1997."  These and subsequent biographies have since been digitized and added to ScholarWorks.

Participation in this project is voluntary, thus not all members past and present are included in the biographies on ERFA's ScholarWorks page.

Add a Member Biography

To add your biography to the ERFA ScholarWorks Biography project, please contact the ERFA ScholarWorks editor at jobellw@icloud.com to submit your CV and your photograph.  The editor will prepare an initial draft for your review and suggested revisions.  Alternatively, you may request a form from jobellw@icloud.com to complete.  You may include as much or as little information as you desire.

You may wish to consult the Privacy Guidelines [pdf] and Creating a Biography [pdf] in ScholarWorks.

Particularly valuable is the Personal Commentary section about the University and community; these observations cannot be found elsewhere and provide a more complete picture of campus life.  Many posted faculty biographies include information about activities in retirement as well.
