Silicon Valley Leader Symposium
The Silicon Valley Leaders Symposium (SVLS) hosts industry and technology leaders to talk about business and technology trends. It also features prominent leaders who discuss broader societal and political issues that shape our life and society. Find more information about the SVLS.
You can earn extra credit (5 points per seminar)
SVLS Attendance in person
Students who attend the SVLS lectures in person (AND arrive on time) will be given a code at the end of the lecture and instructions as to how to use that code to log their attendance on the College of Engineering (CoE) web site. Enter ENGR 10 when it asks for the class name not the five digit schedule code. Be patient, it takes 1 to 2 weeks to show up in Canvas (keep your receipt in case there is a problem).
On the CoE web site enter your professor of record for the lecture when it asks for the professor’s name (not your lab instructor).
- ENGR 10 – Section 1 - Warecki
- ENGR 10 – Section 2 – Youssefi
Please be on time and stay for the entire lecture as a courtesy to the speakers.
ENGR 10 Students with Class Conflict
Students with a scheduling (class) conflict will have to watch the lecture online at the SVLS web site (see below). You must email your class schedule (showing the class conflict), with your name on the schedule to mariam.allam@sjsu.edu
If you watch the SVLS online you must complete a SVLS summary report [doc]. Submit your completed report into Canvas. You have two weeks after the SVLS video has been posted to complete the report. Use complete sentences and paragraphs.
