Nursing

The program prepares nurses to assume the highest levels of professional nursing practice in the advanced practice roles via courses which cover advanced theoretical knowledge, leadership development, assessment skills, and advanced clinical practice. You will have an opportunity to critically evaluate and apply nursing theory and research as a scientific base for nursing practice. Our position in the heart of the Silicon Valley provides a unique opportunity to serve a diverse population. Many of our students go on to work for one of our local healthcare agencies.

Public Health

The Master of Public Health (MPH) degree is a fast-paced, 24-month program of study. Our unique format combines the best of online learning with the support of a close student cohort. The program’s mission is to provide professional education that prepares graduates with the knowledge, conceptual frameworks, health education, and public health competencies to develop programs, build community capacity, advocate policy for health equity, and contribute to evidence-based public health practice.

Occupational Therapy

This M.S. program is the oldest accredited OT program in the CSU system. The curriculum is designed for students who have earned a baccalaureate degree in a discipline other than occupational therapy. This program of study enables students to obtain the education and degree necessary to be eligible to practice as an occupational therapist. We now also offer the Occupational Therapy Doctoral degree.

Nutritional Science

This M.S. program is designed to meet the needs of the student who seeks advanced preparation in nutrition science, nutrition education, geriatric nutrition, and food service/restaurant management and packaging. The program is intended to prepare candidates to assume leadership roles in their profession and communities and to provide the opportunity to acquire a foundation for doctoral study.

Kinesiology

The Master of Science (M.S.) in Kinesiology program allows students to pursue various interests and goals, including but not limited to promoting wellness, influencing the sport and fitness industry, and addressing psychological and sociological dynamics underlying performance and physical activity.

Within this diverse discipline, students may choose one of five different specializations to guide their program of study: Exercise Physiology, Movement Science, Sport Management, Psychosocial Aspects of Sport and Physical Activity, or Individualized Specialization.

Audiology

Audiology is an allied health profession that is concerned with the science of hearing and balance mechanisms as well as the clinical identification, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals with hearing and balance disorders. An AuD is required for new practitioners applying for a license in California. The AuD program emphasizes clinical proficiency that is informed by scholarly research and evidence-based practice.
