2025-2026 College Corps Fellows

The SJSU Center for Community Learning and Leadership is now hiring for the CaliforniansForAll College Corps. Apply now to join this fun and creative team of fellow students to serve within local after school programs and non-profit organizations. Fellows provide computer programming enrichment for third through sixth graders and develop curriculum. No programming experience necessary, training is provided. 

The CaliforniansForAll College Corps is a historic state level investment in service that aims to reduce college debt and support students who serve the community for an academic year. SJSU undergraduate students who complete 450 hours of service through the College Corps receive up to $10,000 to help pay for college.

Term of Service

  • August 2025 - May 2026
  • Must be available between 2-5pm on multiple weekdays
  • Must be available on Fridays from 10-12pm for training

Service Locations

  • Service predominantly takes place within 10 miles of campus

Duties

  • Serve in after school programs, food banks and/or pantries
  • Provide computer programming enrichment within after school programs
  • Develop curriculum materials with a team
  • Participate in trainings, team meetings, and weekly seminars
  • Attend statewide cohort initiatives

Eligibility

  • At least 18 years old
  • An SJSU undergraduate student with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above who will be enrolled full time during Fall 2025 and Spring 2026
  • Current U.S. citizen, U.S. National or lawful permanent resident
  • Complete and pass a background checks upon hire
  • COVID vaccination with booster and clear TB test before service 
  • AB 540 students who have (CADAA) and are Cal Grant B recipients for the 2024-2025 AY (SSN or ITN is required)

  • $7,000 provided in monthly installments

Program Timeline

March 24 - June 30, 2025 Interviews and in-person workshops to complete background checks.
August 15, 18, and 19, 2025 Orientation and Program Begins
