SJSU Staff Council Election Announcement
Calling all SJSU staff members! Are you passionate about making a difference on campus? Do you want to champion initiatives that benefit your colleagues and create a positive work environment? The SJSU Staff Council is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join its ranks!  They are dedicated to promoting staff well-being, professional development, and recognition on campus.

The Following Positions are OPEN and need to be filled:
  • Chair - Preside over all meetings of the Staff Council
  • Vice Chair - Serve as chair in the absence of the chair
  • Communications Specialist - Prepare and distribute all meeting minutes and manage website and social media accounts
  • Treasurer - Be responsible for all monies acquired by the Staff Council
  • Social Organizer - Review requests for social activities, schedule and manage events
  • Staff Awards Liaison - Organize and systematize the annual staff award process
Theyre currently accepting nominations for the next term (July 1, 2024  June 30, 2026).  Think you have what it takes, or know someone who does? Nominate yourself or a colleague no later than May 31, 2024

Join us in shaping professional development at SJSU! Are you passionate about sharing expertise and helping others grow? We're thrilled to announce Training Tuesday Sessions, empowering staff and faculty through monthly sessions on skill-building and knowledge sharing.

Volunteer to share your knowledge in project management, communication strategies, different software, or any field. We seek enthusiastic facilitators to lead engaging workshops and discussions.

Make a meaningful impact on colleagues' professional development by sharing insights, strategies, and best practices to help others thrive.

This gives SJSU employees a much larger selection of professional development opportunities to choose from, and allows more collaboration from campus-to-campus.
