                     Bio
                     
                        Professor Randall Sexton teaches lower and upper division introductory, intermediate,
                        and advanced graphic design and typography courses, he has served as Graphic Design
                        Program Coordinator, School of Art and Design Associate Director, and Department of
                        Design Chair. After graduating in 1983 from the University of Washington in Seattle,
                        Professor Sexton started his career working for the IBM Corporation as a Designer/Art
                        Director – in 1990 he established Sexton Design, a multi-disciplinary design and consulting
                        firm located in San Francisco California, specializing in visual communications for
                        print and new media, including strategic and tactical art direction, rapid visual
                        prototyping, and information visualization for bay area start ups and fortune 500
                        companies. Professor Sexton’s work, as well as the work of his students has received
                        various citations for graphic design excellence, and exhibited in the American Institute
                        of Graphic Arts annual, Type Directors Club annual, Graphis Posters annual, How, SIGGRAPH,
                        and IDEA Magazine.
