Bio
Mike Nguyen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at San José State University. His research focuses on high-speed analog, RF, and mm-wave integrated circuit design, with applications in intelligent edge systems, wireless sensing, and safety-critical technologies.
Prior to joining SJSU, he held academic and industry positions in Japan and Vietnam, including research and leadership roles in advanced analog and mixed-signal IC design. His work spans RF/analog and mixed-signal ICs, near-field and mm-wave sensing, system-in-package and antenna-in-package integration, and AI-enabled sensing systems for agriculture and food safety.
At SJSU, Dr. Nguyen teaches graduate-level courses in RF and analog integrated circuit design and actively mentors students in hands-on, industry-aligned research and design projects.
