C.R.A.M. Life Skills Academy
(C.R.A.M. = College Readiness and Mentoring)
C.R.A.M. Life Skills Academy is a collaboration with the San José Public Library TeenHQ, St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Bay Area Tutoring Association (www.bayareatutor.org), members of the San José State University (SJSU) community, and other allied organizations.
The purposes of C.R.A.M Life Skills Academy are to:
- Assist in the fulfillment of the East Side Promise;
- Increase enrollment in local CSU, UC, Private and other regional higher institutions beyond high school; and
- Provide students and their families an inside look at the college prep, selection, admission and financial aid processes.
This is a non-religious program and will primarily serve 6–12th grade students throughout Santa Clara County and the Bay Area. To learn more or partner with us, please contact Melisa Rillera vmanager@bayareatutor.org or Peter Allen Lee peter.a.lee@sjsu.edu.
San José State University's Pre-College Programs (PCP) have a 30-year history of fostering student success and accessibility into higher education. Started in 1976, we had provided comprehensive services to help participants develop the skills and motivation necessary to complete high school, enroll in post-secondary education, and graduate from the college or university of their choice.
